The TruckSafe team understands that many of our members have been caught up in the struggle with COVID hotspots, lockdowns, and border restrictions. We want to help and ensure those with an upcoming TruckSafe audit have flexible, alternative options to complete this.
With COVID continuing to affect parts of Australia, TruckSafe has implemented the following arrangements for audits that have been booked with their TruckSafe allocated auditor.
TruckSafe is offering remote auditing only to operators who meet the following criteria:
- The operator is located in a government declared hotspot or the TruckSafe appointed auditor is unable to attend on-site due to them being affected by COVID (for example border closures/hotspots), and
- The operator is already accredited to the 2019 Standards with minimal non-conformances in their previous report, and
- The operator is able to supply the auditor with the required documentation and records in an online environment to be able to successfully conduct a TruckSafe audit.
TruckSafe is also offering a grace period for operators that are in a government declared hotspot but do not meet the other criteria for a remote audit.
To streamline the eligibility and request process we ask our members that are affected to visit the COVID TruckSafe Auditing Arrangements page to determine eligibility for either a remote audit or grace period. You will then be able to submit your request online. Only requests made through the online form will be considered.
If you have any queries regarding the COVID auditing arrangements please do not hesitate to reach out to the TruckSafe team for assistance.
