NSW LLS Online Driver Learning & Assessment Launched

TruckSafe Logo

The new NSW Livestock Loading Scheme (NSWLLS) Driver Learning and Assessment has been designed to incorporate improved education and increased safety outcomes for the management of loads and best practice animal welfare. Launched Friday 5 March 2021, this new program offers a more flexible and consistent on-line learning opportunity and aims to reduce the incidence of heavy vehicle rollovers and increase safety for both drivers and livestock.

The Driver Learning and Assessment web page provides a link to the free online learning and offers information about the accreditation process.

There is a rollout period of 24 months, in which existing NSWLLS drivers are required to renew their accreditation.  The new accreditation will be valid for five years, and NSWLLS drivers will be required to renew their accreditation every five years to ensure continued current knowledge of the NSWLLS and to reduce the incidence of livestock vehicle rollovers.

The new NSWLLS Driver Learning and Assessment was developed in partnership between the NSW Government and the Livestock Bulk and Rural Carriers Association. More information on the changes and the process can be found here.
