SafeWork NSW Inspectors to visit transport, logistics and warehousing businesses across NSW
TruckSafe has just received the following notification from SafeWork NSW:
As part of the NSW Government’s strategy to contain the current COVID outbreak, SafeWork NSW Inspectors will be visiting transport, logistics and warehousing businesses across NSW to focus on the compliance of the new Public Health Orders for COVID-19.
As the transport, logistics and warehouse sector delivers goods and services to a wide range of business and locations across NSW (and Australia), it is critical that every business in the sector has a COVID Safety Plan in place that meets the requirements of current Public Health Orders, including:
- usage of masks
- social distancing
- the use of QR Code check in’s
- ongoing employee COVID testing (for workers in affected areas)
- compliance with stay at home directives for affected workers
We will be working with you to provide businesses with updated information and resources with the aim of minimising the risk of COVID transmission in the workplace.
We invite you to forward this information to your own stakeholders to raise awareness of our activities with respect to current COVID requirements in the transport, logistics and warehouse sectors.
