TruckSafe is today mourning the loss of Les Lipinski, Transport Workshop Manager of TruckSafe member, Cleary Bros.
Les began with Cleary Bros in 1984, working as a highly respected and valued member of their team for more than 35 years.
Les was dedicated to promoting opportunities for young tradespeople and to pass on his skills and knowledge to others, which came from a deep genuine devotion to his industry beyond his management role. He has been a positive role model for many people in the transport industry and was a strong advocate for making the industry a better place for people to work in.
With a strong technical ability and a passion for the safety of his team and all road users, Les was integral in Clearly Bros TruckSafe accreditation and safety standards overall. Les was strong advocate for Trucksafe to all those he interacted with – young apprentices, workshop mechanics and wider Wollongong community in the transport sector.
In 2012 Cleary Bros won the TruckSafe John Kelly Memorial Award for their strong safety culture and professionalism, with Les playing a big part in the company’s success.
Our thoughts are with Les’ family, friends and the team at Cleary Bros, who are experiencing such a tremendous loss.
