The ATA elected Geoff Crouch as its new Chair on 5 April 2017.
Geoff was elected unopposed at the ATA’s annual general meeting in Canberra.
Geoff ended his term as President of ATA member association NatRoad in 2015 and is the managing director of Ron Crouch Transport, where he has worked since 1995. He has a deep understanding of the trucking industry both as an operator and at an association level.
“I am very proud to represent the ATA and the trucking industry as the new Chair,” Geoff said,
“I wish to thank my predecessor, Noelene Watson, for all of her tireless hard work. If I can be half as good a Chair as Noelene I will consider my tenure very successful indeed.
“I look forward to working with the ATA board and council, and I wish to thank them for all of their hard work and their support.
Former ATA Chair David Simon was re-elected to the board, as was the Chair of the ATA’s Safety Committee, Tim Knowles.
Geoff Luff, a director of Border Express was also elected to the board.
“I am proud to be able to represent the ATA as a director and I’m looking forward to the challenges ahead,” Mr Luff said.
Andrew Garrety was re-elected as the ATA’s Secretary/Treasurer.
